Hennepin History Museum brings the history of the diverse people in and around our region to life. We preserve and explore local history by helping people understand their world with exhibits, public programs, a magazine, and a public research library.  

We are dedicated to providing an honest understanding of history to create a more inclusive and equitable future. We believe that when everyone is represented, history can play an important role in bringing people and communities together.

Based in South Minneapolis, the museum is committed to offering welcoming and accessible programs, and with the support of donors and guests we are able to provide services to the public on a free or subsidized basis.
