Founded in 1914, Duluth Playhouse is one of the nation’s oldest non-profit theatres. Producing a year-round season of 13 productions packed with dramas, musicals, and much more, the Playhouse is a vibrant fixture of the Northland. Alongside our production schedule, the Playhouse School of Performing Arts, provides performing arts education for youth and adults to explore the magic of theatre both on and off the stage. Located in the heart of downtown Duluth at the Historic NorShor Theatre, the Playhouse is welcomes over 50,000 visits each season.

Amenities
Duluth Playhouse is dedicated to making theatre accessible to everyone in our community through our Theatre For All services, which include ASL and Audio Description services, Relaxed performances for Youth Theatre. The Playhouse also offers greatly reduced tickets for those with financial barriers through our Theatre Access Program (TAP) tickets.

Duluth Playhouse, founded in 1914, is Minnesota's oldest community-based theatre, with over a century of live theatre production. The largest performing arts and training institution in the northeast region of Minnesota, the Playhouse operates three distinct series under the Duluth Playhouse umbrella. Duluth Playhouse Main Stage offers exceptional entertainment opportunities to our region, Youth Theatre provides training and performance opportunities for young artists, and the Underground allows artists and audiences alike to challenge themselves and experiment with their craft. Duluth Playhouse has been enriching and strengthening our community for 110 years by offering high-quality theatre productions to audiences and providing accessible educational, technical, and performance opportunities for artists of all ages.
