Formed by April Sellers in 2002, the April Sellers Dance Collective (ASDC) is nationally recognized for their gender-bending, highly crafted dance performances. Led by Sellers’ choreography and fueled with dance craft, controlled bedlam and superb comedic chops, ASDC’s work has long explored sexual identity in a binary world, queer feminism, rituals of loss, and the body’s vulnerability. ASDC lifts and celebrates ignored streams in society by challenging political, social, and cultural realities including power, patriarchy, and the gender binary.
